If the volume on your TV is low the first thing to do is determine what the cause is. We can do this with some simple testing.
First, does this happen only when viewing a certain source (Cable/Satellite, Blu-Ray, Video Game) or does it always happen?
Second, is the issue persistent or intermittent? If this only happens when watching TV from a cable box, for instance, then a good first step would be to try either using a different cable/type of cable or different port to connect the TV and the cable box.
If this does not resolve your issue, then you should contact your Cable Provider.
If the volume issue is persistent and occurs across all inputs then you should power cycle the TV. To do this, power off the TV and then unplug it from the wall. Wait approximately one minute and then plug it back in and power it on again.

If the volume goes up and down only while watching broadcast programming, then it is likely due to the Audyssey dynamic volume feature that is included with many of our TVs.
