Is anything on this DVD going to interfere with streaming of NetFlix moview?

Not on mine. All it did that I know of was install an option for CinemaNow, trust me,. you are better off leaving it alone.
Jim.

Hello mikedtsp,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
In addition to the CinemaNow service, the update includes necessary updates to ensure playback of newly released Blu-ray disks. We consider this to be a required update for the player.

Apparently I installed the updates, but now Netflix, Pandora and CinemaNow just show "loading" and sit there. Shows I have a "good" wireless connection.

I attempted to install these new updates with CinemaNow, however I get a Failed installation code (2000), so looks like I'm happily stuck with netflix still (always have pristine picture with it)

It's NS-BRHTIB, and i attempted to install it with the disc i just received in the mail, it has the best buy logo on it and says Firmware Update Disc

Solved my problem by changing the encryption on the wireless router. Now I can get to the services.

Hello again intrepidpiscean,
The firmware update disk that you received is intended for models NS-BRDVD3 and NS-WBRDVD only and will not work with your Blu-ray home theater system. You received the mailing because you purchased one of the previously mentioned models. A firmware update for NS-BRHTIB is currently undergoing testing and should be available for download soon. Please visit the product page from time to time for more information.

John
