Blu-ray and DVD Players/Recorders

I have a NS-2BRDVD model bluray player without a remote.  I want to see if I can use the NS-RC01G-09 Remote that comes with the 42" HD Insignia tv to control the bluray player.  Thanks!

You may be able to control your Blu-ray player via the TV remote by following the instructions in the TV owner's manual for scanning for codes.  A copy of the manual can be found by searching our website for your TV model number.  Alternatively, a new remote for your Blu-ray player can be purchased here.

Has there been any update on this? I tried scanning all codes in the TV book, and none worked. I just bought a Insignia NS-42L550A11 LCD tv and Insignia NS-WBRDVD Bluray player. So there is no way to make the INSIGNIA NS-RC01G-09 remote that came with the TV control the INSIGNIA blu-ray player??? They have even have the same buttons. This is ridiculous. Please say that Insignia put a little thought into this and is able to supply a code for their own products...
