NS-BRDVD3-CA choppy audio and white flashes after latest firmware upgrade

Hi - as above, after updating the firmware to the latest version, the audio has become choppy - almost like stuttering every second or so. And every few seconds there is a white flash accompanied by a bit of a "pop" in the audio. This happens when playing back via USB files that used to be okay. The audio problem (at least) also occurs with DVD playback. Playback is via HDMI on a Samsung PN50C430. Even though the official position recommends against it - to the point of hiding the files, I don't know what to do other than go back to an older version. Help!

Re: NS-BRDVD3-CA choppy audio and white flashes after latest firmware upgrade

Hello wimp_yee,

I apologize for the long delay in reply.  I've spoken to our engineering team and it is recommended that you download the firmware update for your player onto a USB flash drive formatted in FAT32 and reinstall it.  We believe that this should resolve the issue.  Please let us know your results.

Regards,
John

Re: NS-BRDVD3-CA choppy audio and white flashes after latest firmware upgrade

Thank you for the follow-up. I will re-update shortly and report back. While waiting, I did some investigation and determined that the problem could be alleviated by explicitly setting the resolution rather than having it set automatically. Perhaps this information will be of use to you in the future. Regards, Wim
