Hi, we just got an insignia NS-BRDVD3-CA that seems to work fine but I'm puzzled if we'll keep it or not because the only firmware update for the canadian model was posted more than 6 months ago and I think that model is already discontinued because Future Shop.ca removed it from their website this week... So I would like to know if Insignia will still provide firmware upgrades and support on discontinued models or would it be better for us to return the player and wait for a new product (if ever)

As an add-on to my previous message, it would be really nice if Insignia could provide a firmware update that would allow the canadian models to access Netflix, comming to Canada this fall...

It does seem that your new Blu-ray player is not available for sale through Futureshop.ca, but it is still available on BestBuy.ca. To my knowledge it is not discontinued, but I would be at a loss to explain its absence at Futureshop.
Firmware updates are released on an as needed basis (even for legacy/discontinued products) and not on a set schedule. I'll be sure to pass on your interest in Netflix to our product development team!

Any news about Netflix ?
Is there a Insignia product sold in Canada that allows to connect to Netflix?
If no, when do you plan to offer a product compatible?
