I bought my player a couple days ago and I can't figure out how to get it to connect to BD live using my ethernet. On the Wired menu it shows the IP address as 0.0.0.0 and when I try to run a network test it does nothing or times out. I read somewhere you needed a 2GB flash drive to store the firmware updates and I have one connected but that didn't help. Is there anything else I can do, should I call my internet provider or could there be something wrong with my player?

Welcome to Community@Inisgnia™!
First, keep in mind this device is not wireless capable, so all connections should be done with an Ethernet cord. So, check that the Ethernet cord you are using is OK (you might test it with another device and see if you can connect), and firmly plugged. The USB will be required for you to have access to BD Live content (since it needs to be downloaded), but it will not prevent you to get a valid IP address.
What you will need to check is that, on the settings menu, under IP settings, the IP mode is "Dynamic". After you select that option, unplug your modem or router from the electricity for about 1 minute and plug it back in, restart your player and check if you have a valid IP.
My advise is, if after setting those parameters you are still not able to get a valid IP, to check with your ISP (internet service provider), or router manufacturer if you are using one, to see why you are not able to connect.
