My NS-BRDVD4 was working great prior to the February firmware update. (Except for a bug where it would lock-up on a track change on certain DVDs).
Shortly after upgrading to the February firmware, my NS-BRDVD4 would no longer acquire an IP address from my router. I attempted to manually set the network configuration settings, and it still would not connect to my network, even with the the NIC lights flashing on the back of the unit.
I decided to roll back to the previous firmware. I downloaded the December firmware, copied it to a USB flash drive, plugged in the flash drive, and turned on the NS-BRDVD4. It ran through the "down grade", and rebooted itself. Immediately, the player acquired an IP address.
If you are experiencing a Network Timeout, or your NS-BRDVD4 box cannot grab an IP address, you may want to roll back to the old firmware.
