Blu-ray and DVD Players/Recorders

hey i havent turned this thing on in over a year. but i wanted to give it to my neice. so i turned it on and the insignia logo displayed and then nothing. same thing with or without a disk. and i opened the lid and stuck a pin in the close lid spot to see if the laser and spin motor work and they both do work. so i dont know whats up the display works and the laser and the disc spins. i dont get it. all the buttons work too. is there some way to factory reset, or go into a bios of some sort. thanks for your help.

Sorry for the delay in my response to this thread. However, I wanted to let you know that there is not a method to reset this unit. Also, from the description that you have provided, it seems that the unit is experiencing a hardware related issue that is causing the unit to fail to boot. As a result, I would suggest taking the player, to your local Geek Squad to acquire service, sorry for the inconvenience.
