Hello all,
As you may have noticed there was a new firmware released last week that contains updates:
Have you tried with the new firmware update?
Here you will find a link, download the file to a empty FAT32 USB drive, and then, with the player off plug the drive. When you turn the player on the update should begin.
Was the problem solved?
If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!
Thank you,

Hi Gonza,
Thanks for the link to the new update. I downloaded the update then applied it to my player. I then watched a blu-ray
movie. Same thing happened, at 51 minutes the sound went crazy. The update did not fix the problem. Any idea what to do now? I'm now on my 3rd player, I sure if I take it back to BB for a new one, the same thing will happen. I (We) sure need a fix for this problem.

Hi. I also downloaded the firmware per instructions. If anything it may be happening more frequently now. I am worried I am getting close to the end of the warranty to fix this. What do you suggest?

Hello, I'm on my 3rd player. The clerk at BB told me the last time I exchanged it, to keep bring them in until I get a good one. I think I well do that, maybe they'll get tired on seeing me and get one of their techs to look into the problem. Hope you have better luck with yours.

Hello,
If the problem is software related, seems to be related to the configuration on the Audio options. My advise, if you can try, is to check with different Audio options on the TV (PCM, Bitsream HD or mixed). Also set the HDMI output on the BR player to a fixed one (either 720p or 1080p according to your TV's capabilities).

I'm not at the player, I'm at work, but I seem to remember there being four audio settings (maybe more). As we are unable to replicate this problem until (about) the 50-minute mark, that's 200 minutes of waiting to see what works. That's a large time investment. Isn't there a better solution than to put customers through a large time investment?

I have the same problem too. It looks like the unit getting too warm. I pause the disc for a little bit and the sound becomes normal again when resumed. This seems to be hardware problem.
