NS-WBRDVD: CinemaNow will not connect but Pandora & Netfilx do connect wirelessly

Just loaded August 2010 firmware update on NS-WBRDVD.  Had to re-establish wireless connection after update.  Seemed to work OK where Pandora and Netflix stream wirelessly.

However, CinemaNow displays error message that internet connect is not established.

Did not see any other messages in the forum for this condition...

Please advise.

Re: NS-WBRDVD: CinemaNow will not connect but Pandora & Netfilx do connect wirelessly

Hello tiltrotorguy,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

Let me apologize for the inconvenience that this issue may cause.

In this case, what I suggest you to do is the following:

1. Update the firmware by using a flashdrive or a disc.

Click here to find the update in the web site.

2. Deactivate Wired connection:

. Press ENTER, the settings menu opens.

     . Select NETWORK.

     . Select WIRED.

. Under the IP Mode, select the OFF option.

 3. Run a Network Test:

. Select NETWORK TEST under the NETWORK option.

If the Network Test was succesfull, please try to connect to CinemaNow once more.

If the Network Test was not succesfull or you try to acces CinemaNow and you still cannot run the application properly, please follow the next steps to check that there is no wireless connecton issues:

1. The first thing to do would be to "Delete" the Wireless connections memory of the player, for doing that please go to the SETTINGS menu and then RESET FACTORY SETTINGS option and Reset the player. Please remember this will erase your Wireless connection and deactivate all the links you have with the running applications (Netflix and Pandora).

2. After doing the "Reset" of the player (or not) you can try reconnecting manually to your network:

. Press ENTER, the settings menu opens.

    . Select NETWORK.

. Select WIRELESS, then press ENTER.

. Choose MANUAL, and then press ENTER.

. Leave the AdHoc OFF , select the encryption you are currently using in your router, and enter the name and password

of your Network. (Press OK to open the keyboard).

Please let me know if this information helped you solve your issue and if not, forward me all the results of your tests.

If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!

Thank you,
Guille
