Hello dskatz2,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
If you haven't already, try updating to the latest firmware via USB flash drive. You can find detailed instructions and the update file here. Remember that your flash drive must be formatted FAT32 and the update file must be the only file on the drive. Let us know your results!

John,
I've tried every firmware--February, June and December. Wholly formatted flash drive, as well as via DVD and CD. Nothing has worked. It keeps giving me "Error 2000", every single time. When I purchase a product like this, I expect it to last longer than a year and for the firmware updates to actually work.
I need this fixed, because the updates provide imported fixes to a lot of the "connected" programs.

Hello dskatz2,
Error 2000 is an error stating that the firmware being used to update the player is for a different model of player. Since you are indeed using the correct firmware for this player then it stands to reason that there is an issue with your player. As a result I would suggest taking the player, along with the receipt, to the place of purchase to obtain service. The NS-WBRDVD2 has a one year warranty from the date of purchase.

So, what you're telling me is that basically, because Insignia is incapable of manufacturing a halfway decent blu-ray player, I now need to throw this one out and get a new one. It's outside of the one year warranty.
Nice to know you guys care/stand behind your products. This is an embarrassment.
