Hi all. I had major problems (as I believe many here did) upgrading to December firmware. Machine is fine since I rolled back to August firmware. Now the machine is prompting me to get the Feb. update and I don't want to go through the whole rollback process again unless I really have to. So... any success stories for updating to Feb firmware or is it as buggy as the Dec. release??? Again I've got an ns-wbrdvd2. Thanks.
Any luck on finding someone who successfully updated their firmware? I am hesitent too after the mess I had to go through with the december update. I don't want to have to downgrade again and go through that whole mess. Anyone out there brave enough to upgrade?
Yep, I successfully downloaded and installed the Feb firmware. No problems that I can find, they tweaked the Netflix app to allow searches, a little clunky looking, but it works.
DId all of you do the firmware using wireless or some other method. It seems that most people that did the firmware using a wireless connection have killed the unit.
No flashing in HDMI, and I did the update via wireless, the firmware now checks that the new firmware is correct before flashing, something that should have been done before, but at least its safe now.
Still same flashing on HDMI after dl again, went back to old fw. When I dl file to save it's still the Jan. file. Guess I'll wait a little longer and use the original now that I have it on DVD. What level HDMI cable are you guy's using mine is 1.3? But it should work one would think as it works on the original fw.
