I just bought an Insignia NS-2BRDVD Blu-Ray player, and I've gotten no response from the remote (yes, the batteries are in it) and I've tried about a dozen different codes trying to program it on my Comcast remote. I'm out of ideas. Please help!

First, try removing the batteries from the remote and pressing all of its buttons, then installing fresh batteries. This will resolve many remote problems. Also ensure that player's IR port is clean and unobscured. If you still get no response, ensure that the player is working using the on-player controls. Lastly, I recommend using your Comcast remote's scan feature to find a code. I've had great success with universal remotes by this means. Let us know your results!

I have the same player and couldn't find the remote code. After recently doing the update, the code 22428 is now working for me.
