Blu-ray and DVD Players/Recorders

There is a note inside the blu ray disc case which reads " although this blue-ray disc has been manufactured to the highest quality standards, it is possible that it was manufactured after your blu-ray disc player.  to ensure the best possible viewing experience, your player may require an update." I just want to know if the June, 2009 firmware update on my NS-2BRDVD Player solve my problem?

It is always recommended to keep your Blu-ray player firmware up to date.  In this case, Quantum of Solace was released on Blu-ray in March 2009; the June 2009 update should resolve any playback issues you might be having.  If you any concerns after installing the update, please let us know and we'll do our best to help resolve the problem.

Thanks John.  I have asked customer service for the free cd of the firmware update and the staff who will make the request told me that it might take a month for the cd to reach my end. I will just post again if I have trouble in installing the firmware update.

Hi John!

I'ill just wait for the promised free CD for the firmware upate, anyway, I'm in no hurry now because I just bought yesterday the NS-BDLIVE01 and just done watching Quantum of Solace.  I'm giving the NS-2BRDVD to my daughter after the firmware update is installed.

Please let me know if there is already a firmware update for NS-BDLIVE01.
