My Toshiba BDX2500KU Blu-ray player quit playing blu-ray but plays regular DVDs. I put in blu-rays that the player previosly played, the door closes the display says "loading" then it spits the blu-ray back out. Ive upgraded the firmware to 1.40 via a USB. I've performed all the suggestions, unplugging for a while then plug back in, nothing. It plays regular DVDs fine. Do blu-rays have a seperate laser? Should I fix it or toss it? HELP! Anys suggestions?

Hello tichapuwin,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
Blu-ray players do indeed have two lasers: one for DVD playback and one for Blu-ray disks. Since you've tried the troubleshooting steps we normally recommend, it's likely that your player will require service. You may wish to visit Toshiba's forums for further advice, or contact them directly at 800-631-3811 to pursue service options.
Regards,
John
