So last November/December I received a NS-WBRDVD. I didn't purchase it, but I've had it less than a year and it was brand new. So I'm assuming I still have a manufacturer's warranty. I was watching Netflix before bed last night and woke up this morning and the Blu-ray player was off. Also, the red light was off, so it looked like my power outlet might have been bad. I've tried plugging it into several other outlets in the house that I know are working just fine, and the light never comes on. So it looks like the power supply is bad.
Since I didn't buy it, I have no receipt or proof of purchase. What are my options as far as getting this serviced/replaced? I tried looking on the website but couldn't really find any answers.
Thanks.

Hello cfrank8,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
Service is available for your Blu-ray player through Best Buy's Geek Squad. Unfortunately, for warranty service, a purchase receipt is required so there may be fees for diagnostics and repairs.

i think it may be possible, if who ever bought you the player goes to a best buy store they may be able to find the urchase in there system and be able to get a receipt, i have done similar things like that in the past
