I would like to install an older firmware on my player, I don't like this latest one
does anyone know where I can download older firmwares? does anyone have the *22.iso? or does anyone know what the file name is so maybe I can search for it?
any info? thanks
you know, even a factory reset would be fine with me, anything but this latest firmware
thanks

re: screwyluie
What is it about the new firmware you do not like? Please keep in mind we only release new firmware to fix bugs. Going backwards is not advised!

well I know fixing bugs is the general idea, but I didn't have any bugs with my daily use before, now my netflix doesn't work right, and my movie files on my external hard drive don't load unless I change the extensions (tedious and annoying) and some of them that played before now have the error "unsupported format"... and it seems there was another thing wrong that's slipping my mind atm.
I was very happy with the previous release, it worked just like I wanted it to, I knew I shouldn't have updated...
I would really appreciate the previous firmware file so I can go back to the way it was

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he wrote that the new firmware CAUSED the problems. So, if it caused the problems, how is it going to fix them by leaving it on there?
I hate to butt into someone else's thread but looking over the responses from Insignia employees, I'm beginning to wonder if you guys even read what people write before you respond.

The problems he described were caused by a previous release. We since have corrected them. Thanks for voicing your opinion.
I've got the player on, no firmware update listed... your site says 11/06/09 is the latest update with file 20091103_NS_BRDVD3_BBY_53_6903_23.iso, this is the firmware i have on my player... and this is the firmware with the issues previously stated
my netflix does't work, and it won't see files with an .avi extension, and movies that worked before, now don't work

Firmware 23 is discussed in the NSBRDVD3 thread on avs forum. It is known to create more bugs than it fixes. Head over there and look for the attachment with the 22 firmware. Many have gone backwards and have had no problems. I'm personally gonna stick with it until 24 is released and is a confirmed improvement.

Roger...
We need to roll back the new firmware to an older one. We realize that going backwards is not advisable but we need a way to do this. Can you assist? Offline even?
