ns-wbrdvd problem with hdmi switch

Hi - new poster/owner of the ns-wbrdvd.  I've tried it with 2 different HDMI switches to no avail.  When I switch to the input designated for the BR, I get nothing on screen.  The switch recognizes that the player is connected but the player does not seem to want to play nice with either switch.  I thought it was an issue with a 2 yr old switch so I got monoprice's 3.0 3 input switch and it does not work with the player either.  The player connected directly to the tv via hdmi direct works fine.  This is not, however a long term option as the hdmi main cabling is behind a wall.

Re: ns-wbrdvd problem with hdmi switch

Hello mrchunk,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

If the player works fine when connected to the TV directly as you've verified, then the problem is most likely with the switch, not the player.  I would recommend consulting the switch owner's manual and ensure that you're using the recommended cables.

Re: ns-wbrdvd problem with hdmi switch

I have the identtical monoprice switch and have no problems whatsoever switching between my Comcast Box, the Insignia NS-WBRDVD and my Roku.
