Blu-ray and DVD Players/Recorders

I am having problems playing red box dvd's and blue ray movies. I thought i might need an update, so i tried to update and server error 8301 came up.

Hello Brenether,

That error simply means that there are no updates available. I would suggest trying an update one more time to ensure that your player is up to date. After attempting to update then I would advise turning the player off, unplugging it , and letting it sit for 5 minutes or so. The other step I might suggest is ensuring that the discs are clean and free of scratches.
