I  got this camcorder at best buy and i had it for a while. i try charging it and the green scrren thing pops up on it with the word insignia on it. and then it turns black. that only does tht when i just plug it into the charger.. then the red/orangy light blinks i think it means it is charging but it still doesnt turn on. then when i press the play button with the arrow u-turn on it the light turns green but still nothing goes on. and if i take it out of the charger the light goes away and it wont even turn on. is my batery done do i have to get another or is it just a glitch it the video camcorder. and if u go to fixya.com it has people asking the same question. I just wanted the right answer from the people who work for insignia.com...... Please answer my question i dont want to buy another camcorder.! ( And No the battery is in the right way with the white writing looking up and the plain black side looking down!) PLEASE HELP. I AM Confused

It's likely that you'll need to replace the battery.  You can purchase one (and other accessories) here and selecting Insignia™ as the manufacturer and providing the model number..  I hope this helps.

I can't guarantee that the part is carried at your local Best Buy, although they do carry a broad selection of batteries for many of the electronics sold.  A product specialist in the camera area should be able to assist with a replacement if one is available.  As a matter of practice, we recommend PartSearch for replacement parts for Insignia™ products.

I got the same problem. I connect my camcorder to PC and can get/view all files in camcorder. But if I try charging it the green scrren thing pops up on it with the word insignia on, blink a image and then it turns black.

Did you buy a new battery nnet3? And it's works?
