• To view your movie files you will need to download either the VLC Player or MPlayer software. They are free players that are available for viewing your movies on your Mac.
  • The VLC player is available here: http://www.videolan.org/

• The time available to record is located in the upper right of the LCD display when the camcorder is in record mode.
  • Press  (Record/Play) to switch to record mode.

• The memory card may be locked. Turn the camcorder Off and remove the memory card.
  • Change the locking tab on the memory card to unlocked.
• The movie may be locked which prevents it from being deleted.
  • In playback mode, if the movie is locked, a lock icon will appear in the upper right corner of the LCD display.
  • To unlock a movie:
    • Press  (Record/Play) to switch to playback mode.
    • Press < or > to select Movie.
    • Press OK twice to open the movie option menu.
    • Press < or > to select Lock.
    • Press OK to open the lock menu.
    • Press < or > to select the movie you want to unlock.
    • Press W (down) to unlock the movie.
    • Press T (up) or W (down) to select Yes.
    • Press OK to unlock the movie and close the menu.

• The memory card may be locked. Turn the camcorder Off and remove the memory card.

• The picture may be locked which prevents it from being deleted.
  • In playback mode, if the picture is locked, a lock icon will appear in the upper right corner of the LCD display.
  • To unlock a picture:
    • Press  (Record/Play) to switch to playback mode.
    • Press < or > to select Picture.
    • Press OK twice to open the movie option menu.
    • Press < or > to select Lock.
    • Press OK to open the lock menu.
    • Press < or > to select the picture you want to unlock.
    • Press W (down) to unlock the picture.
    • Press T (up) or W (down) to select Yes.
    • Press OK to unlock the picture and close the menu.

• Is the battery installed correctly?
  • Slide the battery cover off your camcorder.
  • Insert the battery into the battery compartment. Make sure that the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on the battery align with the + and – symbols in the battery compartment.
  • Replace the battery compartment cover.
• The battery may be dead. Recharge your battery by using the supplied power adapter.
  • The battery takes approximately 2 to 3 hours to charge depending on how much battery has been drained.

NOTE: The battery is shipped with only a 30% charge. You will need to charge your camcorder battery before you can use it for the first time.

• The battery may have shipped with protective film over the contact points. Please remove the protective film before you install your battery.
