NS-CNV10 email address was reset after software update

I'm not the original owner of this device. It was sold to me. When I visited your site it says that it has a newer firmware update than what's installed. So I downloaded the zip file then follow all the instructions. All went well, but the problem now is that the email address that was originally setup on this device is now gone. And I did not memorize it. 

 

I need help how to retrieve the email address that is set for this device. 

 

I was forwarded to BestBuy but to no avail and called again then forwared to Geek Squad. Geek Squad told me that they don't support phone support for GPS only from stores.

 

Is there something that I can do or better suggestion?

Hello ryu457,

I am sorry your having trouble setting up your GPS after installing the new firmware.  The email address in the GPS is only used to send destinations from various maps sites.  Since the internet connection features have been discontinued for this GPS those features are no longer available.  You should not need the old email address to use the GPS.  To set a new e-mail address see page 57 of the manual (59 of the .pdf).

I can't also set a new e-mail address since there is no internet connection. Is there a way for this device to connect to a wireless network?

Unfortunately, this GPS unit does not feature WiFi capability.

So there is no way to update the maps on this device?

There are no map updates available for this GPS.  As a discontinued product there will not be any map updates made by Insignia.
