I have taken the SD card in and out. I have even added the new firmware to the SD card. I still keep getting the screen asking me to insert my SD card. What should I do? I am out of warrany.

When you insert the SD card into the GPS device, do you get an error message, or does it ask for the card even when inserted? Was the SD card changed in any way when removed from the GPS? Any additional information you can provide (more is better) will help us assist.

It worked fine, but for some reason now, i will turn it on, and it always has the insert memory card screen. That's all it will do. There were not alterations other than when I put the new firmware on the SD once I started getting the insert memory card screen. It always asks for the card even when inserted.

Let me tell you that the SD card should never be removed from the unit, if it is taken out when the GPS turned on, it would get damaged and, downloading the firmware into it would not solve the inconvenience.
In this case, I suggest you to take the unit to the place of purchase so one of our exclusive Geek Squad technicians can check the GPS to determine what is the real issue with the unit and how it could be solved.
I am sorry this is the only answer I can give you, but in this case, it will need to be physically checked!
