Why doesnt my monitor turn on?

Why doesnt my monitor turn on?

• Possible reasons are that your monitor (1) has been disconnected from its power source; (2) is in standby mode; or (3) has made a soft switch to the off-mode.

Try these steps to check your Power source:
1. Try plugging the monitor in to a different outlet, not just another plug on the same powerstrip.
2. Make sure the Power cord is plugged firmly into the power outlet AND into the back of the monitor.

• If the monitor is only in "Stand-By" mode, moving the mouse will bring the screen up onto the monitor. If the monitor has soft-switched to off, simply push the power button to turn the screen on.

Why does my monitor's power light blink but cant get a pcture?

• Your monitor may be in stand-by mode or may have soft-switched to off.

The following are additional steps you can take to get a picture up on your monitor:
1. Make sure the signal cable from the monitor is hooked up correctly and is inserted into the back of the computer securely.
2. Make sure none of the pins on the signal cable are bent or broken (It is normal for some pins to be missing entirely).
3. Make sure your computer is turned on and working properly (Your monitor is wating for a signal from your computer to tell the monitor to turn on).
4. Try turning on your computer and monitor in a different sequence.

To adjust and/or fix the image on the monitor:

1. Press and release the On-Screen Display (OSD) control knob to activate the OSD menu.

2. Turn the knob to highlight the desired option by its icon. See user manual for icon/symbol meaning.

3. Press and release the knob again to access the option. The color of the inner area of the OSD will change from blue to green.

4. To make adjustments, turn the knob clockwise to increase or counter-clockwise to decrease the setting.

5. Press and release the knob again to store the changed value. The color of the inner area will change from green back to blue. You can select another function to make adjustments by turning the knob. Also, you can select the EXIT icon and press the knob to exit the OSD menu.

6. Additional adjustments for contrast and brightness are performed directly by turning the knob cIockwise or counter-clockwise.
