2.1 subwoofer extension

Recently bought the 2.1 speaker sysstem with subwoofer and want to set the speakers farther from the computor and subwoofer than the cords  allow.  Is there an extension available ror the cable with the 9- pin connector?

In this case the cable used to do the connection is a standard one, but there will be no extension available to be purchased separately. Keep in mind that any connection or extension added will decrease your audio quality since information is lost regardless the connection made.
