I have a question about updating... This tablet is 4.2.2 and I am not sure if there is an update.. When I try to update I always get "Check Failed! Please check your network!"... Does anyone else have this issue? I have tried this on 2 different Wifi connections and I still get the same message...

I got same message - reported it to the powers that be at Insignia along with the "Device isn't compatible with this version".
Router reboot did not help.

The reason you're getting that message is because there is no update for it currently. It is fully updated already.

Please excuse the poor wording for the error message. There is no update available yet for the Insignia Flex 8". We have thouroughly tested the update function and it will work when an update is available. The next update we are working on is Kit Kat as we have elected to skip 4.3 do to timing.

Thanks for the explanation. That is definitely a poor word choice. I was afraid I'd have to return the product due to that error message. Perhaps the wording should change to "there are no updates at this time" or "your system is currently up to date".
