Bluetooth speaker NS-PSB4721

Hi,

last night when my computer was off, I left my NS-PSB4721 Blue tooth speaker on.  Someone else connected to it (hopefully accidentall) and I was awakened by some loud music coming out of my living room.

I thought bluetooth speakers were unique to one device.

the computer I had paired it with orignally is on now and they are connected.

How do I prevent this accidental pairing?

Re: Bluetooth speaker NS-PSB4721

in my experience, depending on the bluetooth device you should have to enter a code to access it. if it is still on the default code(usually 0000 on most BT devices i have seen) or no code is needed for your speaker you may just have to turn it off to prevent pairing as bluetooth is not permanently attached to what ever you pair to it. anything can access it if the device is able to accept the connection.

thats the downside of bluetooth. not much in the way of security, usually.

Re: Bluetooth speaker NS-PSB4721

i am not sure you can. most devices in general apparently dont have a way to do it and use a fixed code. if the speaker were instead a phone or pc i think you could, but on things like this, might be stuck with it.
