I purchased NS-15AT07 a while ago but I can not remember its password now. Is there a way to do a hard reset on my tablet and restore the factory condition? Thanks.

Hello ggis000,
Welcome to Community@ Insignia™!
There is a way of resetting the tablet if the password is forgotten, but all of the data will be erased. I want to stress that all of the user data will be erased and not recoverable. If you have vital information on the tablet I would recommend trying to remember the password before fully resetting to factory settings.
If you would like to go ahead with the factory reset, follow these steps:
-Ensure the tablet is connected to the charger and has at least 45% battery left. If the battery dies during this process the device could be damaged.
-Power off the tablet fully.
-Press and HOLD the Volume + button.
-While still holding the Volume + button, press the Power button until the screen illuminates and shows Insignia. Then release the power button only.
-Continue holding Volume+ until one of two screens appear.
A) -A screen appears with only an Android mascot in the background. If this happens simply let go of volume + and press it one time. You should then see the screen shown in item 'B'
B) - A list of options in the top left of the tablet screen.
-Use Volume - to select "wipe data / Factory reset" and press the power button to select it.
-Use Volume - to select "Yes -- delete all user data" and press the power button to select it.
-Following the reset, the device should boot up and go through the initial setup process again as when it just came out of the box.

But what about the Windows version. I bought four refurbished Flex 8 Windows tablets and one has a user password set. I have followed all of the instructions multiple times but I cannot do a hard reset on this device. Unless I can do a factory reset it will just end up in a landfill.
I emailed Insignia support but got no answer, and most of the Insignia sites return a "page cannot be displayed error" although all other sites except insignia work fine.

Never mind. Ryan had a post with the answer I required so the problem has been solved. Thanks Ryan.

Well i THOUGHT all my problems were solved but it was not to be. I can begin the restore process, and I slect the option to wipe everything. Then it wworks away for a minute or so and comes up to a Reset thie PC screen and offers me two options - "Just remove my files" or "Fuly clean the drive" but at that point the touch screen is totally unresponsive. I cannot select either option. I have started the process four times now and it always fails at the same point?
Does anyone know how to get past this stage?

Hello,
I hope I can get some help with a simalar problem, I tried the solution but doesn't do anything for the version I have. I couldn't find a work around for my version. NS-P11W6100, it is locked on the 'enter password" screen and won't let sign into a new user or anything, the password hint is not helping, I've tried every password I could think of and I am about at the end where this thing is going to the recycler. Any help is appreciated.
