Hi,
I would like to hook up the NS-PCS20 speakers to a Sharp TV (Serial # 704820565 A) The portal where I am plugging them in is: Audio - HDMI/PC
Also attached to the TV are:
DVR - Scientific Atlanta (Explorer 8300HDC)
DVD/VHS - Samsung (DVD V5650) [This might be going away)
I have the speakers plugged in to the TV and tried unplugging and starting over. I cannot get sound out of the speakers. I is possible to achieve this? Or do I need to get an adapter cable and go through the DVR?
Thanks!
Evan

Hello Evan,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
Unfortunately I'm missing the model number on the TV so I won't be able to provide you the exact information. However, seems that you are connecting the speakers to the input for HDMI/DVI or PC inputs (that will have a separate input for the audio coming from the sound card).
You should be looking for an Audio Output, regardless it is RCA or mini plug, then if it is miniplug you can directly connect the speakers to it or if it is RCA you will need an adapter and connect the adapter to the speakers.
I hope I was clear enough, and if you need further help, please reply with the model number of the TV so I can exactly advise you if the connection you are trying to do is possible an in that case how it should be done.
If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!
Thank you,
Guille

Thank you for your assistance. I have the Sharp LC-26AD22U. I believe I will need an adapter. I also need to update my cables, lol. I'm guessing that I need an adapter for the Digital Audio Output
