The drivers for this particular model are available on the product's homepage.....

Try making a recovery drive and see if it can get the unit up & running again. Smiley Happy

Re: Insignia Flex NS-P11W7100 Bios

Believe me i tried recovery drive, i tried also installation drive made from windows 10 iso, tried all kinds of combinations with volume and power buttons, powering from usb-c adpater and hub same time to no avail.

All I am asking nice person with working NS-P11W7100 would download AMI Bios utility and save  BIOS from his tablet to .ROM file.

Utility is available here:

https://ami.com/en/download-license-agreement/?DownloadFile=Aptio_V_AMI_Firmware_Update_Utility.zip

And here are screenshots how it looks:

http://www.ecs.com.tw/extra/flashutl/afuwin.pdf

Just start AFUWINGUI.EXE and press Save button to dump BIOS to .ROM file.

EIther mail me file or uploaded it to any cloud drive.

Assuming you will download above zip file Aptio_V_AMI_Firmware_Update_Utility.zip to folder:

C:\Users\Public\Downloads

AFUWINGUI.EXE will be located in another zip file called AfuWin32.zip under:

C:\Users\Public\Downloads\Aptio_V_AMI_Firmware_Update_Utility.zip\AMI AFU for Aptio V\afu\afuwin\32

Simply copy paste AfuWin32.zip to your desktop, open command prompt, type cd  Desktop\AfuWin32\AfuWin32

(yes two times same folder)

then type AFUWINGUI.EXE  and press Save button.

Do not use Open neither Flash buttons !

Re: Insignia Flex NS-P11W7100 Bios

Hi. I have the same issue but with P11W6100 model. Tell me please how are you going to flash this BIOS if the tablet does not boot at all? I think in this case it can only be flashed with the programmer and for this it is necessary to evaporate the microcircuit. May be you know another way to flash it?

Re: Insignia Flex NS-P11W7100 Bios

Hi I saw your post.

Do you also have blank screen without Insignia logo? (no)

Does power led blink for a second when turning power on? (yes)

Does charging led work? (no)

Is there power going to usb ports? (yes)

I put my answers, I also opened case and found w25q64fwig, on some pins there is 1.8 volts but do not how to number them because although there is small dot made with touch of paint it seems dot is on opposite side regarding label on chip so got confused.

Maybe we could team up and exchange ideas how to fix this?

Yes as of today  I am afraid have to purchase programmer to flash bios, could not find any combination of keys to flash amiboot.rom from sdcard or usb and Insignia support does not want to help.

Yes I have the same signs.
I think the only way out is to look for the same working tablet and download bios from it with programmer.

Re: Insignia Flex NS-P11W7100 Bios

Hi:

I do have a BIOS backup (.rom) file available to upload to someplace if you still need it. Let me know how to proceed. The current backup is from a NS-P11W7100 which have the USB option disabled in the BIOS. I was able to read the backup using the AFU tool and I'm also able to see the content using the AMIBCP v5.02.0023.

Haven't tried to modify the ROM file and reflash it back.
