To boot from USB you will need to make sure the USB drive is formateed correctly for UEFI boot. The tablet will not do legacy boot.

Re: Insignia NS-15MS08 Drivers?

created bootable windows 8.1 USB with Rufus app by selecting UEFI option

But still tablet loads into Windows 10

Is there any key I have to press after power ON?

You will need to use a USB switch with keyboard attached and hit F12 for boot menu. You might be able to boot to USB by holding Vol- button, but I have never tried that.

Re: Insignia NS-15MS08 Drivers?

Mine is working now, sorry Ishould have posted sooner.

It turns out the person I bought it from had it hosed up so bad the drivers were not working.

Boot usb made with rufus, Nuke&pave & drivers worked.

he never extracted the key either, from what I've read here they are not available.

Couldn't the M$ licensing be handled in the bios somehow?

Re: Insignia NS-15MS08 Drivers?

You will need to prepare a USB drive as a UEFI boot drive and copy the Windows 8.1 setup files to the drive. Then attach a keyboard via an OTG micro-USB cable to the tablet. Click F12 on the keyboard as you power on the tablet and select boot from USB.

Install Windows 8.1 as a new installation after reformatting the system drive.

Re: Insignia NS-15MS08 Drivers?

This link details the procedure for creating the installation drive:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

After Windows is installed you will also need to install some drivers. They can be found in another link on this thread.
