Hello, I've been using a 2.1 set of Insignia speakers (don't recall the model at this point) for over two years now, and I love them! However, one day, seemingly without reason, the power button broke. In order to power the speakers, I now have to fiddle with the power switch for a while before it'll catch and the speakers will stay on. Is there an easy fix for this?

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
We'll be happy to look into your question if you'll please reply with your product model number! Also, more information on how the switch is broken would be helpful.

Hi there, sorry for the late response. I've been able to get it to work with moderate success for the past few weeks, but it's finally seemed to have stopped for good.
I'm not sure what exact model the speakers are, but it's a 2.1 system I bought in late 2009.
The issue with the power switch is that it refuses to "catch". If I push the button in and manually hold my finger there, it will work, but as soon as I let go, the speakers lose power and shut off. I'm afraid that my warranty has expired (if I even ahd one?) so I'm considering just opening it up and looking for myself.
