Insignia table won't do system update - Unable to connect to network. Check network status.

Very frustrated.  Did factory reset to resolve and didn't work.   I goto System Updates and try and click the 'Check Now' button for a software update.  I keep getting error:  

 

Unable to connect to network. Check network status.

 

This is bogus as I'm connected wirelessly with Excellent connection and can surf internet etc.  just fine.

 

Beginning to think this Insignia table is a POS.

 

Model:  NS-15AT10

Android Version: 4.4.2 (Kit Kat)

Welcome to Community@ Insignia™!

If you check for an update and it gives you that message, that just means that there is not an update for the tablet. I'm not sure why it was designed to say that but it has been forwarded onto our engineers. Just know that that means there is not an update available.

Has there been any change to this issue?  I am currently having some issues with the same tablet and was wondering if there is an update to this tablet?
