I know absolutly nothing about transferring stuff from my tablet to the new 32 g sd card I recently installed. Does anyone out there have advice? Thanks! :-)

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
When you install a removable device on your Flex Tablet, you should see an icon appear down in the lower right corner. You can then select the file(s) that you want to move, click cut/copy, and then click on the SD card icon to bring up the SD card and click paste. This should complete the transfer, and then you'll be able to upload those files directly from your SD card at your leisure.
I hope this helps and let us know if you need any additional assistance.

Thanks for your reply! I did try your advice, but unfortunately, it did not work. I went to settings and looked at each app that was downloaded, but there was no way to transfer apps t the sd card. I took my tablet to Geek Squad at Best Buy and they examined it, tried to find a way to move the apps to my sd card and they could not do it either. What they suggested was to erase all the daa on the tablet and start over. This makes alot of sense to mebut I'm coming to you for a second opinion. Are there any other options?

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble moving apps to your SD card. Many apps require that they be installed on the internal memory of the device. Select settings, then Apps, then select an app to see if it allows you to move it to the SD card. If the app doesn't allow you to move it you can try installing it direct to the SD card. Let me know if you need any more help.

Hello Justin. I found this post as I am having trouble with moving items to an SD card as well. First, when I put in the SD card, i see no icon pop up. I do see the MicroSD show up in the storage part of the settings menu. When I go to each app, there is a button to "transfer to SD", but I have done this with multiple apps yet nothing ends up on the Micro SD. Is it sending the apps to the other storage that is called "NAND Flash"? Pleasze help.

The problem is that when they set up the image for this tablet they partitioned the 8GB internal memory into two ~4GB partitions. The first partition is considered to be "internal" memory, but is used up almost completely by the system and "bundled" apps. The second partition is considered to be an external SD card. When you insert a new SD card, it recognizes it as a place that you can store video and pictures or other files to and read them from, but Android apparently wasn't designed to have more than one external storage location so you can not move apps to this "second" external memory locaiton.
They said that they have a fix in place that will hopefully be released in the next 6 weeks. I think they are planning on releasing the fix with the update to kitkat.
This information is found over in this thread, the link starts in the middle of the thread when the project engineer realizes that you cannot save apps to the 1 GB of RAM the device has and that there are two partitions instead of one 8GB partition.

I have to say that I removed the SD card and placed it back in then it asked me if I wanted to change the default storage I clicked OK and it let me choose the SD card. You have to go in to settings and UN mount the sd card and take it completely out and then place it back in. Hope that this helps however I do not think you can save apps to it I have not tried yet but my pictures are saving to my SD card now.
