Re: NS-BTHDST w/ Windows 7?

If you are having issue with NS-BTHDST getting detected properly on Windows 7, then try following these steps (this is what worked for me):

  1. Make sure external Bluetooth dongle is connected to PC or integrated Bluetooth receiver is enabled before continuing.
  2. In Windows Device Manager, uninstall all Bluetooth devices.
  3. Run downloaded Bluetooth driver software from http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php.
  4. The software should now install the needed drivers.
  5. Run scan for hardware changes in device manger in order to pick up any additional Bluetooth drivers previously removed if any.
  6. To verify NS-BTHDST is properly detected, go to “Bluetooth Devices, Show Bluetooth Devices, right-click NS-BTHDST, and then select Control.
  7. Follow Windows wizard to verify connection.

Re: NS-BTHDST w/ Windows 7?

Don't give up!

This thread had me worried. I just installed a new Dell laptop (without internal bluetooth adapter), downloaded the driver and installed the NS-BTHDST using the Insignia provided driver and IT WORKED AS ADVERTISED. I'm happy! I've had this headset for four years and have been running it on XP. I wasn't sure the install CD would have a Win7_64 compatible so I wanted to download the latest and greatest.
