   Is this an electrical grounding problem or a blown subwoofer.....HELP

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

Are you getting this static sound also on your speakers?

Have you tried setting the Bass Volume control to a lower level (on the SW)?

Have you tired connecting this device to another one to test it (MP3 player)?

Check there are no loose connections since that will be the first cause of static sound

Try moving the cables around to double check they are not the damaged ones.

 

If after these steps, the issue persists, please take the device to the nearest Best Buy store so an agent can assist you in testing this device.

I purchased a seperate subwoofer on ebay  and the problem is not in this new sub woofer. The first one must be blown, I will throw it away and live happily ever after.
