NS-PCS41hook to game system

I have the insignia NS-PCS41, and It says in the instructions that I would be able to hook up the sub and speakers to a gaming system.  Only thing is it mentions a 2-male/1-female cable that I don't know how to get, or what I should be looking for if I was to buy it online.  So what would be the best solution for me to do if I was going to get this cable, and is there a cable that has an extension of 3-5 feet or more?

I was also going to ask about the crackling in the speaker system, but the post and the questions have already been answered in another post...  Thank you.

Re: NS-PCS41hook to game system

Hello Dudeguyman,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

The cable specified on the manual will be a RCA to mini plug (all female connections). However, depending on the gaming console you have, this may vary. You will need to check the connection type the console uses (most of them will be male stereo RCA), and then get a "Y" cable that can take the input (male stereo RCA) and convert it to a female stereo mini plug to plug the Speaker System to.

Regarding the extension, there will be no problem with that length, but you may have a hard time finding that cable since they usually are not that long.

If you have any other question or you would like detailed information, please let me know what console are we talking about and I'll be happy to assist you further.

If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!

Thank you,
Guille

Re: NS-PCS41hook to game system

Hey Guille,

So you're saying, that the 2 RCAs from the system (X-box360), whicih are male, would need a coupler in order to connect to the video cord shown in the instruction booklet?  Do you have an idea where I might find/buy such a cord?

I went and bought a RCA "Y" cable but is has male RCA plugs...  Should I take it back to the store?

I'll just wait till you get back to me next...

Thanks bunches for responding...  I appreciate it.

P.s. Again, I have an Xbox360.
