It's possible that it is updating without reflecting it.  When I now go into About Tablet, I see Android Ver 5.0.1 and Build Number LRX21M release-keys V01.00.03.  The Update screen says Firmware V01.00.04, upgrade to LRX21M - Latest Version.  

 

I wonder if it's LRX21M that we are looking for (I have) or Firmware V01.00.04 (I have .03)

I'm having the same problem updating my tablet, it says there is a update for it when I click to update it says update failed, took it to best buy they said it was up to  date. On the update screen  it says this is a test version you should find Facebook in tablet after upgrade, can't get it to update and no Facebook, they told me to just download Facebook app. Information I have on my tablet is NS-P16AT08 firmware V01.00.04 upgrade to LRX21M. What do I need to do?    Thanks

You can do one or both of the following choices

Reset tablet

Take tablet to GeekSquad@ your local Best buy

You guys are kinda jerks.

 

Here's what you do:

Close all apps, including the update modifications. Swipe down from the top of the screen, and swipe away the update failed thing. Done.

 

Basically, this is just your tablet attempting a scheduled update CHECK, not your tablet finding an update. No reason to waste gas and time going into Best Buy. 

 

References: I am essentially the Office Depot\Max's version of Geek Squad. I was previously an EasyTech at Staples as well.

I happen to be going to Best Buy for another reason and took it in but they had never seen and had nothing to address.  Does someone have a particular tech at a particular Best Buy that could be contacted to find out what can be done?

The update software is completely broken and nobody at insignia is bothering to fix it. 
I had a 7" insignia and the update software was working fine. 

Somebody at insignia, which is basically Digiland, must fix this issue once and for all. This is unacceptable.

By the way, if you go to GeekSquad to have this issue fixed, they will stare at you and simply tell you the same crap someone has been saying here all along: Reset your tablet, then take it to GeekSquad. This total BS.

My table is an NS-P16AT08. It has Android 5.1 installed and is an 8" tablet.

The update software is hopelessly broken and I can't get any updates or fixes that Digiland is issuing. Insignia is just Digiland rebranded for BestBuy.

That model number is for an Insignia tablet, not a Digiland tablet. I can assure you that our tablets are manufactured by us, not Digiland. Because of this, Digiland is not going to put out an update for our tablets since we are different manufacturers. 

 

In the tablet you can go into the settings and check for an update. If there is an update it will notify you and give you the option of installing it. If you check there and it does not prompt for an update then there isn't currently and update. This model of tablet is fairly new so it does not surprise me that the tablet hasn’t been issued an update.

The wireless module is becoming unusable. Please do something about this issue. The wireless is constantly dropping the connection.

This issue MUST be fixed immediately
