Insignia Home Theater System NS-HTIB51A

I just bought this system yesterday, I connected it to my Vizio 42" LCD 1080 via HDMI, I also connect my Sony PS3 also connected to the Insignia via HDMI...everything works great except when I am watching tv channels....no sound?

I do not have a cable digital box from my cable company, just a coax connection to my TV, then the described connections above.

I added a Optiocal audio out from the tv to the Insignia, checked my out/in put menu's..no sound...?

any thoughts anyone ?

PS, I also connected my FX coax ant. and I get Tuner sound and PS 3 sound just fine...

Re: Insignia Home Theater System NS-HTIB51A

Hello nevesone,

In order to have audio from your TV be played through the home theater system while using an optical audio cable, you must make sure that the NS-HTIB51A is on the correct input. The input that you should be on will depend on which port you plugged the cable into, if you plugged it into optical 1, put the receiver on "Game" input, if you put it in optical 2, put it on "TV/CD" input. If you are still missing audio after putting it on the correct input, please give me the model number of the Vizio TV and I will research this issue further.

Regards,
Zac
