I just bought an Insignia NS-HDTUNE Radio Tuner. I plugged in both the provided AM and FM antennas, and I hooked it up to my stereo system via the standard red and white AV cables. After turning both the stereo and HD tuner on, and turning the stereo to "Aux" all I get is static. No matter what station I'm on, whether it's AM or FM, I haven't gotten a hint of sound besides static from it.
I've tested it in my parents house and my house, which are both near cities that have radio stations broadcasting strong signals from them. I've tried 3 different stereos, all with the same results. Are the provided antennas just complete crap, or is the Tuner itself busted? I'd rather not buy a higher end antenna just to find out that the Tuner itself was broken.

Hello kbania2,
From the description that you have provided, it appears that you are doing everything properly and as a result I would say that there is likely an issue with the tuner. I would suggest taking it, along with the receipt, to the place of purchase to obtain service on the unit. The NS-HDTUNE has a 90 day warranty from the date of purchase.

Unfortunately I got it off Ebay, so I doubt the warranty would apply there. He claims that it worked fine before I received it. So who knows?
