My Insignia NS-PCS41 does not work.

Hey guys, i have a problem. The first time i bought the Insignia NS-PCS41 worked fine. But i have a problem now. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. To make it work i have to turn on the speaker first then the laptop. If i turn the laptop on first than speaker doesn't work. And if i unplugged the AUX cable and plugged again the sound goes off. Most of the time the speakers make a interference sound don't know why. Maybe you can help me?.. Thanks for your time.

 

I bought it in Best Buy, returned and get new ones and the problem still exists. Same as the old ones.

Hi Juan Carlos,

Welcome to Community@Inisgnia™!

In order to connect this speakers to the PC, you must use the green jack, that's the default input. The AUX one, will only receive a signal when the unit is connected to is playing, and if more than one device is connected will not be selected.

I am connecting the green jack. I have a laptop and i only has two audio holes in the front of the pc. I connect the sound system to any of those two.

 

The problem is that sometimes work and sometimes not. When is not working the speakers make like a interference sound even when i disconnect the green jack out of the computer.

 

The same problem happens with my tv.

Two days ago I started having the exact same problem!

Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

I'm aware of the green thingy and the AUX one, they still doesn't work.

It makes me very sad, because they offer excellent sound, but now...

Hello Chuy,

 

Is there anything specific that happens when the speakers stop producing sound (i.e. strange noises, LED goes off on speakers, etc)? Do the speakers stop working randomly or are there certain events that seem to cause the issue? Any other information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Let me explain more clearly what happens with my speakers:

 

They stop producing sound randomly, and the blue led light still goes on. Additionally, I make them work if I unplug and plug them repeatedly while still on. That seems to solve the problem, but eventually they fail again.

 

Also, when they stop producing sound, and when sound comes back (randomly), a noise is heard, as if a short circuit is taking place.

 

Finally, I have these questions: Is there any place in Mexico that I could bring my speakers so that a professional can repair them? Or do I have to go directly to the BestBuy store in which I bought them? (they'll soon open a BestBuy in Monterrey, could I go there?)
