I get a loud buzz/hum sound when I plug in my sub-woofer. I tried a different outlet with the same results.
Otherwise the unit performs flawlessly. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello John and Happy New Year
The hum/buzz is constant when ever the sub-woofer is powered up.
Yes - in all viewing modes.
My NS-HT511 is connected to my TV by HDMI.
The only other device connected to my TV is a Comcast Cable Box which is also
connecetd via HDMI.
The other speakers are fine. I tried a different power strip and outlet but the hum/buzz remained.
The sub-woofer adds great bass but the hum/buzz is a real killer.

Hello again mg21112,
Thank you for your New Year's wishes. I sometimes get all businesslike and forget the amenities. I hope the New Year brings you joy and prosperity!
I should have asked before and was remiss: what is the brand and model number of your TV?

I would suggest checking the connection between the receiver and the sub, make sure that the cable is firm connected as this could cause the buzzing noise. If this is not the issue then it is possible that there is a hardware issue with the sub and as a result I would suggest taking the unit, along with the receipt, to the place of purchase to obtain service. The NS-HT511 has a one year warranty from the date of purchase.
