NS-PSB4521 driver.

Win 7 Pro 64 bit
NS-PSB4521 speakers

Windows will "find" the speakers, but a) they show up as a bluetooth headset and b) Windows cannot find a device driver.

Re: NS-PSB4521 driver.

Hello billgeddes,

Welcome to Community@ Insignia™!

These are a Plug and Play device, so windows "should" find a valid driver. What version Bluetooth does your computer use? This speaker set does require Bluetooth 3.0, so that could be part of the issue.

Re: NS-PSB4521 driver.

Good morning Jon,

Thank you for the reply.

Since they're PnP, Windows should but it doesn't.

The computer uses an Intel Centrino Wireless Bluetooth 3.0 + High Speed Adapter.

(can't figure out how to attach or embed a screenshot of device manager showing adapter and "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" with error indicator)

Searching for the driver from Microsoft (that should be embedded in Windows 7, I know), I am in every place I search redirected back to Insignia/Best Buy.

I'll wager that somewhere there's the driver that was embedded into Windows- any tiops on where I can find that in order to resolve my system problem?

Re: NS-PSB4521 driver.

Hello billgeddes,

Thank you for responding!

When I plugged in one of our product lab adapters (RF-MRBTAD) and paired it to a Modal Bluetooth speaker on a windows 7 laptop it did show an error on the speaker at first, but when I troubleshot it, all it did was reinstall the driver and it started working fine.

Unfortunately we dont have the Insignia set in our lab that you're having the issue with, but in my searching online one of the higher ranked solutions is (per the Windowsforum.com thread "Make your bluetoogh devices work on windows 7") Download the "Windows Mobile Device Center" (current version 6.1). There are some additional steps and directions you can try, but because this is a Microsoft question, its not something I can give exact info since I dont have all of their information at hand.

Re: NS-PSB4521 driver.

How do I download the driver to connect the speaker on a PC? The device will connect to my iphone and mac but I can't seem to find it on my PC
