I purchased this unit from Bestbuy Yesterday. There was no manual, remote, or speaker setup microphone in the box. The only thing in the box was the reciever, speakers, and the speaker wires.
I have searched the Insignia website looking for information on this unit but have found nothing. Punched the model number into Google and nothing found. Would be nice to know how to program this $400 dollar setup.
Does anyone know anything about this unit or where I can find a manual for it ????
Also, this is a NS-R5101AHD. Not the R5101HD.
Thanks,
Acer

Hi acer,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
I apologize for the missing information, I have already requested our website team to upload the QSG and User's Manual from the NS-R5101AHD-A, we will try to have the product information in 24 to 48 hs for you.
Besides the fact the information about this home theater is missing in our site it concerns me that your product is missing the remote in the packaging (This product doesn't include the UM in the packaging).
It would be great if you can share with me all the information you can about the store where you have purchased this unit, such as the Store # or it's location so we can avoid future problems like this.
My biggest recommendation at this point would be to return to the place of purchase and talk with the management to get a unit that has the packaging content intact so you can enjoy our product as you should.
Please keep me posted about this situation.

Dear Nicolas,
Good to see your post. I am in precisely the same position as Acer and am encouraged by your reply to him.
I picked up this impressive kit yesterday. It was "open box" but when I collected it, there was no box or user manual and, more worrying, no remote control. In fairness to the Customer Service people they did not have the information available at the time to respond to my questions and, after waiting for some time while they found the "lost" woofer, I was late and had to leave. Incidentally, when I paid for it, the audio expert told me that I could connect a USB to it but unless I am missing something (an adaptor or whatever), it seems that is not the case :-(
Thank you indeed for providing this discussion facility.
Kind regards,
ZC4RK

Hello ZC4RK,
Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
Actually this receiver does not have a USB connection (seems to be the only one missing!), you will be able to connect external devices through the HDMI, Component, Composite, RF, Component, Coaxial and optical digital audio, but USB will not be a possibility (good suggestion though for future models). Regarding the remote, that part is not available yet, but will be shortly (contact in a couple of weeks our Support Line and they will assist you).

Hello ZC4RK,
At this time the mic is not available to be purchased separately. I'll look into this to see if I can provide you either with a release date or a compatible one.

Hello Gonza,
It is becoming a little clearer to me. What I bought was in fact the NS-HTIB51A; SKU 9833984 which should include:
I foolishly read the NS-R5101AHD from the receiver; sorry.

ZC4RK,
Actually, the NS-R5101AHD will be the model number for the amplifier, while NS-HTIB51A will be the combo (speakers included).
Regarding the missing mic, that part, is not yet available at our parts department. My advise, so you can start enjoying your Home Theater System right away, is to get a generic AUDYSSEY Auto Calibration Microphone at your local audio store or online.
If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!

Hi Ginza,
I got an Insignia remote NS-5100 remote frm BB parts that I am told SHOULD operate my NS-R5101 AHD receiver but it doesn't!
Also if I look at the user manual, the remote shown in the U/M is different for the one I have although the BB parts dept assures me that the one I have in my hand is the correct one for my receiver.
I also tried to set up my JVC TV universal remote to operate the audio kit using the given Insignia code of 1751 but that doesn't work either.
Please help! Thanks.

Hello ZC4RK,
I've checked with the parts dept and I've found that the original remote will be available in a couple of weeks. I think the best way for you to solve this, is to contact our support line so they can assist you in getting the correct part.
If it was useful, and you liked it, Kudo it!
