I've been trying to figure out why I cannot turn DRC on when watching movies...when I really need it on late at night with people asleep. I have my Bluray player connected via HDMI to the receiver. When I cycle through the options DRC is not listed. If I change to an analog input (digital music player connected via RCA) DRC is an available option but I don't want DRC on for my music. According to the manual DRC can be used with DD, DD TrueHD, DTS, DTS HD and DTS MA but the DRC option is not available. Does DRC not work with HDMI audio? Do I need to connect an optical cable to get DRC?
