NS-SB515

Hello,
I received the 2.1 Wireless sound bar from Best Buy and I was happy with the packaging and style. The issue I am having is the subwoofer will not pair. I have followed the instructions to a "T" and the light on the subwoofer just blinks and the subwoofer makes a popping sound over and over. I don't know if there is another way to get it to pair.

I will state I received the item through shipping and as a test item for my honest review to BestBuy.com and I do not want to put up a negative review because of this, I want to give a honest review on a working product.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: NS-SB515

Hello WhatsInTheBox,

Welcome to Community@ Insignia™!

The subwofer and soundbar are paired at the factory so they should automatically pair. If they are not, try unplugging the soundbar and subwoofer from the power for at least a minute. then plug the soundbar in followed by the subwoofer and see if they pair. If they dont, try moving them closer together, within 10-15 feet with a clear line of sight to each other.

If it still does not pair, try these steps from the manual:

1. Clear any obstacles between the soundbar and the subwoofer

2. Using a small pointed object (paper clip) press the PAIR button on subwoofer until the LINK LED light blinks blue

3. Using a small pointed object (paper clip) press the PAIR button on the soundbar until the LINK LED lights solid blue. The wireless subwoofer is connected to soundbar

If these steps still do not allow it to pair, we would need to get it returned ot the store.

Re: NS-SB515

I have the same problem, but it seems that Windows does not find a Driver for the NS-SB515. I can't find a download for a Driver on the Insignia website, is there another possibility to download a Insignia Driver?

Re: NS-SB515

Make sure you are in the optical input all the way. Also, make sure your TV it set to output sound through external speakers and not internal.

Re: NS-SB515

Hi - I've been through every menu in the TV setup, I don't see any choice between internal/external speakers??

Re: NS-SB515

Hello at1215,

Welcome to Community@ Insignia™!

Is the TV by chance an Insignia? If so, what is the model for the TV? It will start with NS-.

When you have the optical cable connected to the TV you should get a red light shining though the cable which can be seen by pointing the cable towards your hand. Once you have it connected to both ends, make sure the sound bar is set to the correct input.  There is a button on the side that will cycle the sources.

Hello bdavis21,

Welcome to Community@ Insignia™!

Can you provide the model number for your product? It should start with NS-.

How long have you been using the product? Be sure to check all of the connections between all the devices involved in the audio. Knowing the model will allow me to better assist.
