I have an insignia TV running to an insignia sound bar. I used the Incontrol jack on the TV to output to the Incontrol jack on the sould bar. When I power on the soundbar, the TV speakers mute, and the pressing volume up or down on the TV remote diplays that the TV is controling the audio on an external device. However, no sound comes from the soundbar. Ive tried pressing the input button on the soundbar, but the audio never kicks in. Ive tested the soundbar by connecting RCA cables directly to my cable box and I am able to get sound that way. Any suggestions?
Specs are Insignia NS-46E790A12 46" LED TV and NS-SBAR

Hello mrsme,
The INcontrol cable does not actually transmit audio, it allows you to control the volume level of the soundbar with the TV remote. In order to send audio from the TV to the soundbar, you will need to use a 3.5mm to RCA Y-cable, this will be plugged into the "Audio Out" jack on the back of the TV and the "Audio IN L/R" on the back of the soundbar.
