Ok new NS-HT511 home theater system set up. Followed all instructions however not getting any sound out of my  surround speakers. Went through the trouble shooting guide in the owners manual and still nothing. Thoughts, comments, solutions??

• If there are additional connected components, what brand and model?
• How is your home theater system connected to your TV?

The TV is a Samsung 60 inch Smart TV flat screen model # UN60D6400UF. The only other thing that is going to be connected to the system is a samsung blue ray player. The system is attached to the TV through a HDMI cable.

I have a few questions so that I can better understand your issue:

Are any of the other speakers working?

What sort of content are you watching?

Assuming that the other speakers are working, if you plug your front right and left speakers into the surround outputs on the receiver do they play sound?

Again assuming the other speakers work, if you plug the surround speakers into the front left and right outputs on the receiver do they play sound?
