So is there a moderator or Insignia rep, or a programmer from the Chumby team who can tell us when alarm features will be implemented - Specifically, the alarm feature to trigger events with no user interaction needed at the time of the alarm - i.e night mode, switch channels at a given time, etc ... We read every posting on the forum.  This posting is in our Ideas Engine; posts here are to be voted upon by members of the Community.  About your posting in particular, we are working on this issue and hope to have a resolution soon.  If you have other concerns or questions about the Infocast, you may wish to post them on the "Media Displays" board.

Please add the alarm features that the Infocast 3.5" has to the Infocast 8". Thank you.

This is actually holding me from buying the Insignia 8" Infocast as I really want it as it has the speed and features I like but the advanced alarm features forund in other Chumby devices but absent in this device is a big letdown. Best Chumby device yet doesn't even have this OROIGINAL feature?!? The Sony Dash at least has this and frankly I will only get that if you guys take too long to implement the feature ie you will lose out on a potential customer/consumer/fan. My biggest question mark is why does the 3.5" Infocast have this feature but the 8" doesn't, it even has iHeartradio? What's up with that? 3.5 is a bit small for me and I'd rather buy something much bigger. Please implement this feature soon, as my B-day is Jan 1st (yep New Years Baby) and the wife will be taking me to Best Buy to pick up my gift. PLEASE, don't let me choose between the 8" Infocast and Sony Dash . It should be a simple decision but this absent of Advanced Alarm options on the 8" Infocast is going to kill me...

Yes, I just picked this 8" Infocast up and was very disappointed that there is no auto-night mode feature that can be set through the alarm function like on the smaller infocast. It's a pain to have to manually  back out to the main menu every time to activate night mode or turn off the screen and then reactivate the channel. I'll probably return this and stick with the 3.5" until this issue is resolved.

I just purchased 2 8" Infocast and looking over this thread I can see this has been a discussion point for quite awhile. This needs to get fixed asap or back both will go.

Dear Insignia,

I'm not sure why this alarm update is taking so long, but it is a VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT update needed for the Infocast 8. I just purchased this from Best Buy and I will be returning within 30 days if the alarm functionality isn't updated to allow mulitple alarms and/or silent alarms. Please listen to your customers, without us you have nothing. Thank you
