Please, make your customers happy
by making firmware available that does not restrict overscan control. There is no valid reason to have this control blocked in any circumstance. If I turn overscan off and am bothered by noise at the edge of the picture, I can simply turn it back on.
I have recently purchased model ns-l47q09-10a and mostly have been pleasantly surprised by the performance, quality and features of the set for the price. The nagging problem is that I cannot turn off overscan and get 1:1 picture quality with certain devices and must jump through hoops with others.
The type of device and connection type I am using is irrelevant. It should be my choice whether or not to enable overscan. I understand why overscan is used for SD signals but HD signals should not need overscan and will give best picture quality with overscan off.
You have the opportunity to build the Insignia brand as a good budget choice for HD enthusiasts if you address this one glaring oversight.

I just bought this tv and hate the overscan. the option is grey out and I can't turn it off. Is this a bug? Insignia, is it possible to fix this? I can't recommend your products until this is fixed.
